Engine # 1 is a 2005 E-One Typhoon. This is our first line of defense outside the hydrant district. Engine # 1 replaced a 1968 Mack that served the City for 37 years.  Engine # 1 has a 1250 gpm pump, 1000 gallons of water, and 20 gallons of class A foam.   The cab is totally enclosed with a 4 occupant capacity, which allows firefighters and driver to communicate more efficiently while responding. The ladders are stored inside the body above the water tank. This keeps them in a better working condition. There are many other features on the truck that make this a valuable asset to the department and the community.  This truck was obtained with help of a F.E.M.A. grant.
