On March 14, 2007 one our of firefighters was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Firefighter Bill Townsend (#20)  The Calais Fire Department Association is presently building a section into our website to report information on Bill's progress. We will include his phone #, mailing address, calendar of events, location for donations, and even his T-shirt size if requested. Please join us in prayer with Bill and his family as they prepare to meet this challenge and get Bill back in service soon.

Calais Fire Department gets a new fire truck. Through a grant the fire department obtained a new 2005 E-One Typhoon.

If you are physically fit, community oriented, and like to be part of a team, we could be the place for you.

THE CALAIS FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN SERVING THE CITIZENS OF CALAIS SINCE 1828 WITH THE START OF THE “ CALAIS FIRE CLUB”. THE MEMBERSHIP WAS AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH OF 110 MEMBERS IN 1863 .CURRENTLY IN 2006 WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP TOTAL OF 38 INCLUDING FULL TIME AND CALL / VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS. WE HAVE A CENTRAL STATION ON NORTH STREET AND AN OUTLINING STATION THE RED BEACH SECTION OF CALAIS.
