Calais Firefighters help fight wildfires in Quebec.
Firefighter Joshua Smale was in Quebec for approximately 12 days with 19 other
Maine firefighters helping fight the large wild fires that have been burning since early this spring.
On June 30th, firefighter Joseph Hanson reported for duty in Quebec and was on the Smokey Lake Fire, which was approx 350,000 acres.
JJ worked beside 21 other Mainers for 14 days. Calais Fire is very proud of Josh and JJ for their efforts.

Calais Fire - EMS is currently accepting applications for call Firefighters, Call Emt's (all levels) and EMS Drivers. We provide entry and certified training in all firefighting fields, and continuing training in all EMS fields.
